“ Went there with friends for Friday dinner. We had a last minute update and the restaurant was able to accommodate it. Our server was very nice. We ordered for 4~5 rounds as everyone arrived, and he was patient with our questions and the food was served in a timely manner. Chilled appetizers were good option in summer time! The entrees were in pretty descent portion. We shared everything and they all tasted good. Nothing really surprisingly good out of expectation, but we got what we expected. Recommend to order a cocktail. ”
“ Ordered: Rocoto Mixed Ceviche, Vaca Frita Con Huevos, and Lomo Saltado Service: We didn't have reservations but came to this restaurant around 30 minutes after opening. We were seated without an issue and our server was very attentive throughout the meal. Atmosphere: The restaurant was clean with great music, and we enjoyed the overall vibe of the place. Overall, my husband and I really enjoyed our meal at this restaurant. From the food (everything was delicious) to the service, we would recommend making a stop at this place. We just happened to stumble upon it because it was located next to our hotel, and it was one of our best meals in Charolette! ”
“ What a good restaurant! The pictures and listing made it seem more like a lunch spot but this place was great for dinner. The decor is so cute and inviting, the servers were friendly, the drink list was decent, and the food was great! We got the ahi tuna ceviche which was delicious and flavorful. We also got the solterito salad which also had so much flavor and was delicious. For dinner, I got the Sol Bowl with Salmon which was also very good. My husband got the Cuban sandwich and loved it. He usually is very picky about his Cuban sandwiches but it was delicious. Overall, great restaurant, great food, great service. Will be back ”
“ Decided to try Calle Sol out as I was over at Burial Brewery and it looked really good. I was beyond impressed. Food was beyond amazing and my bartender offered up several suggestions. I decided on the Cuban fried rice and I'm a lover of plantains so I had to get a side of those as well. Several people were there so I could tell right away this is a favored spot for a lot of people. I will definitely be back as I want to try more options. ”
“ Came to calle sol for my brothers birthday, absolutely delish!!! I got the cuban fried rice with shrimp. It was so flavorful and the shrimp had a lovely char flavor. We also got yocaquitos (amazing) and croquetas (also amazing), the true star of the apps was the cilantro aioli (11/10!!!!!). I got the pineapple mint marg and it was so refreshing. Everyones food at the table was fantastic and unique, we all shared. The portion sizes allow for leftovers! There was an incredible family feel, we loved our server kim! Shout out to her!! she was so so kind and even got my brother a bday slice of their dolce de leche specialty cheesecake and it left me speechless. Decorated really cute in there too!! I will definitely be going back:)) ”
“ Phenomenal. Salchipapas = ridiculous, only feedback is It needs shoe string fries not steak cut fries The mariquitas was also ridiculously good. For our main entree we split the Cuban fries rice. Also so delicious I wish we would have ordered two. ”
“ Having spent 30 years in Miami, where I enjoyed ceviche frequently, discovering Calle Sol during a visit to Charlotte was a so exciting! Firstly, the portions were generous -- we all opted for double portions and were not disappointed. The Aji Amarillo Ceviche was a standout dish, made even more delicious by the use of Argentinian red shrimp. These shrimp, known for their lobster-like texture, added a rich depth to the ceviche that I truly appreciated. There were also many familiar Peruvian and Cuban dishes on the menu that I was already fond of. Our waiter provided exceptional service. The mariquitas with cilantro aioli were yummy. And the Cuban bread was perfectly "aplastado," Calle Sol in Charlotte not only brings a taste of Miami's vibrant food scene but also sets a high standard for quality and service. Whether you're a local or just passing through, I highly recommend stopping by to experience their excellent ceviche. Sorry I didn't take pictures of the food. I was overly excited when I saw my plate of ceviche ! ”
“ OBSESSED. My first time trying Calle Sol, I got a 1905 salad. It was good! But I can't really give a place a proper rating based on a salad. Since then, I've been back twice and I fell deeper in love with each trip. Most recently, I tried the Lomo Saltado. If you're in Charlotte, drop what you're doing and get this for lunch. It. Is. Fantastic. Juicy, tender filet mixed with charred crispy vegetables and fries swimming together in the most perfect gravy. I could not stop eating it. The leftovers were just as good the next day. YES. My friends liked the fried rice and tallerin with shrimp. Everything we tried was delicious. This particular trip, we shared a 1905 salad as an appetizer which was perfect for us. Try it if you haven't! Lomo Saltado 10/10 ”
“ Server took a lot of time to review the menu and highlighted why each dish would be great. Started with the yucca stuffed with cheese with cilantro aioli. Loved the aioli - def added flavor. The cheese not sure the flavor but it didn't have much. The fry on the balls was light and they had just the right amount of crisp. I wasn't in the mood for ceviche so went for the Cuban fried rice. This would be a great complement to a meal sharing with others but ill advised as a meal in itself. That was my bad! There isn't enough stuff in the rice like the pineapple or the chicken. So it tastes like soy sauce and rice. It's a great little addition to South Park w/its vibrant colors and reasonable prices. Will definitely be back to try the ceviche! ”
